Change of perspective

Everyone who’s into fitness and gym training in order to get that “perfect” body whatever that is, would love to be ON and SHARP and LEAN and RIPPED every day of the year. But most people let it remain a dream and accept the regular gym rule that that ain’t happening because it does not work. Well, of course it does not if you’re unwilling to work for it. And I don’t mean merely going to the gym regularly and eating good nutritious food. Those two aspects will get you healthy and let you look like someone who works out a little now and then. To obtain what YOU who read my blog want to obtain it takes dedication. Dedication as in changing your way of looking at your fitness lifestyle. A three month regular contest dieting phase may get you to peak for a show or a photo shoot, but what happens after that? You plan on eating some good stuff huh?

I’ve talked to a lot of fitness and figure athletes, mma fighters, models and regular gym training people and they all make a vow to themselves that this time, after this particular win or shoot, they are not going to pack on the pounds again. How many do you think keep the promise? I have yet to meet one!

The reason why it’s so difficult to hang onto that condition you desire is because that takes a change of perspective. You are no more peaking for something, you are maintaining. Maintaining is tough because every day you need to remotivate, reinspire and reencourage yourself why you want to stay a certain way.

When I get asked “how do you stay lean year round?” my response needs no afterthought. I manage to do it because it’s my lifestyle. It is not a peaking for a show, it’s no looking good for summer. I know that yes I would be stronger if I gained a few pounds, but what would it benefit me? I am not a competitive athlete in some grueling sport! I don’t compete in powerlifting! My goal is to look really strong and in a weird way you do when you are a weakling with very little bodyfat. And I rather look a certain way that I like than to lift a few more pounds in the gym.

Now when it’s soon xmas I know many who claim they do everything it takes to reach their goal will go overboard in the eating department. FYI I won’t lol. I got some emails about my tips on how to stay lean during christmas and here they are. remember though that I totally understand and say “hey go for it” if you really want to enjoy the regular xmas food and lots of it, food is a sweet part of life, but just don’t complain about it when you feel puffy and bloated afterwards! The food never travels to your mouth on its own, you are the one putting it in there even if it feels like grandma forced it in huh!

If you know it will make you fat don’t eat it

Accept that even xmas calories get stored in your fat cells

Just accept it, take it and don’t get grumpy about it. Remember it’s YOUR decision, your choice.
