Things to think about
Things to think about when you are out of thoughts during cardio workouts…..
During steady state or recovering between intervals:
- What countries you want to visit and what places plus who to bring
- How to invent new cardio machines
- Think about names for your new nutritional supplement line or fashion line
- Say one city per letter as in Adrian, Michigan for A, Bordeaux for B etc
- Name as many asian countries as you can
- Create the ideal man or woman
- Count the machines in the gym
- Learn to speak backwards (loohcs for school etc)
- Invent new flavors for crystal light
- Go back to your childhood and remember some
- Make a plan on how to get rich and happy
- Rhime on Back. Then rhime on regress. And maybe on rose.
- Think about your first love
- Solve the global warming issue theoretically anyway
- Name as many kinds of fish you can
- Think about new flavors for chewing gum
Then during the tough parts of high intensity training or intervals….
- Think “one more time and I’ll get super lean”
- “Just one time more to get the heart rate up through the roof”
- Just 5 more seconds, just 5 more, 5 more
- “this is the last one” (you are fooling yourself here I know)
- One super push and I win the lottery
- Just one more super boost push and I will get everything I want
- If someone saw me doing this would I push harder? (yes you would out of pride so use it now!)
- Compete against the best trained people in the gym
- Beat the dude in the front row of you
- Get pissed at the guy farting in front of you so you get it all there in the back (should get your adrenaline up here)
- Listen to this song “on the dance floor” with David Guetta and get fired up
But then, just do the workout and don’t think. Leave the brain at home and just let your body do the rest!
